What is the Mti Project?

The Mti Wraps The Mti Wraps is an outdoor public art project focused on trees. “Mti” is tree in Kiswahili. Rhythm, repetition and pattern accentuates the gesture and form of the tree. Through the use of fabric, this place based project brings color and unity in a neighborhood environment. In the Greater Ville area of Saint Louis, artist Dail Chambers has worked with neighbors, artists and community groups, creating a public conversation with urban ecology.   List of participating artist: Daniyah Harper Luna Imani Antigone Chambers Reed Youth of Bread & Roses, Mo.
